day of blahs

Back to work today for the first time in 5 days. Half the people I talk to didn't notice I was gone. This surprises me not at all, I'm usually very quiet and stuck in the back of the office. What surprises me more is that one of my coworkers didn't figure out for all three days I was gone that I wasn't there to help her fill out a few lines on a spreadsheet. This work is so simple my cat could do it, but for some reason coworker asks me to do single line entries for her ALL THE DAMN TIME. I had half a dozen emails from her just from Monday. I wasn't pissy enough to go to my boss to ask for an intervention on this, but the boss knows I have a ton of stuff to do for the rest of Sales, so if I really need to she will tell coworker to back off and leave me alone.

Still waiting to hear about the job that was posted. I have no idea what to think, I really expected to hear by now. But I'm worried that they've made a decision and are just holding off on the announcement. I also heard one of the Marketing interns talking about applying and I kind of wanted to cry. I can't get a job in marketing because I don't have marketing experience, but they can apply for whatever freaking thing they want? If he gets it and I don't I may actually cry. Because I'm dumb enough to think this place will ever actually employ me full time again. I am a flake and they know it.

ETA: Oh, and I just saw said intern going off to interview with the person that has been putting off interviewing with me for a week. Silly Waffle, you should have known better than to want this job. As soon as you wanted it, they were going to give it to someone else. That's how the world works.
