Fuel - The Basics
May. 21st, 2009 10:47 amLast November I wrote up an idea that had been chewing on me for National Novel Writing Month. I didn't end up getting 10,000 words in 30 days, nor did I end up happy at all with the story I wrote. But the idea still gnaws on me sometimes, so I'm going to start cleaning it up, rewriting it and posting it here.
The basic story is about Haithe, a city shunned by the rest of the world because of a "curse" placed on it. In order for the people of the city to live with the curse they must burn a special cool burning fuel every night. The narrative revolves around Daniel Shane who owns the factory that makes the fuel, Baylor Moss sheriff of the town and Alina Rane the new priestess whose arrival could not have happened at a worse time. The working title is, as you might have guessed, Fuel. That's what I will be posting it under until I have a better name.
