My week continues to be crappy, but this video makes me so very happy.

I miss Pythagoras Switch, it was one of my favorites in Japan. I think I linked one of the actual Rube Goldberg sections, but this is Framy, the square dog. You can't not love Framy.

I have a horrible migraine right now, but only one class to teach. So I'm going to slog through it and then take the afternoon off.

I just realized I have less than 2 weeks left of work because I get a 4 day summer holiday and that means I don't have to go to school the last 4 days after my goodbye ceremony. It also probably means I will be procrastinating on packing and cleaning, but I now have 3 full weeks to do it all in instead of two. Oh, and only 4 days in Osaka instead of 7. But that's still 4 days in Osaka!

After a long (and awesome) weekend of drinking, DnD and seeing friends I came home exhausted and slept for as long as I could (8 hours! a record for the month!) and then was too tired and lazy to want to ride to work Monday morning. But SURPRISE! My car refused to start. I biked to work (and was really late) and told my supervisor I needed help with my car troubles. She didn't have time ALL DAY to help me, so in the end I decided fuck it, I will ask my Japanese teacher who I just happened to have a lesson with that afternoon. After arguing with me over how to say my car wasn't working (I was using the word for "broken" and she had a different word, and I was just concerned with the fact that MY CAR DOESN'T GO) she called someone she knew who fixed cars in his spare time who came over and told me that yes, my car was indeed dead. VERY dead. One of my pistons is apparently shot.

It will cost more to fix the engine than I paid for the car to begin with. So there goes all the money I was hoping to get from selling my car when I leave. As it is, I will be lucky if I don't have to pay to have it hauled off. Okay, I needed to get rid of the car anyway... but this is not the way I wanted to do it!

It doesn't help that my supervisor, who is supposed to be helping me with all of this, seems utterly clueless and is the exact opposite of helpful. I'm starting to get really worried that stuff isn't going to get done so I can move home.

I just want to go home....

I watched Conan the Barbarian the other day... I have no idea what took me so long. Arnold Schwarzenegger punches a camel! He actually abuses several animals throughout the movie, it's classy. And James Earl Jones is in it.

In other news, it's hot in Japan. Like... VERY hot. And so humid. I swim to school more than ride my bike. My school doesn't understand the concept of Air Conditioning. Or fans. Ah, summer.

It's been a while since I updated. Probably because I haven't been doing anything all that interesting.

I did pack a really awesome box last night. I sent home my Square Enix limited edition preview book, the big Reborn puzzle I bought a while back along with the little Kingdom Hearts one I got the other day, about half of my Gundam models wrapped up in a couple of the shirts I intend to keep, the little pink bunny from Chobits that I actually got in America and somehow ended up in Japan with me and a few little stuffed Pokemon dolls. I felt like a very responsible adult sealing that up and shipping it home. |D My parents will be so confused when they open it. I think there might be some mameshiba in there as well.
