I still haven't gotten around to writing out all the stuff that's happened of late. But considering I'm going to be out of a job soon, that's likely to change.

But I just had to share that I got tickets to the Gorillaz Plastic Beach tour and I am SO EXCITED. Seriously, there are two bands in the world that I would go to great lengths to get tickets for, and I already got to see The Pillows when I was in Japan. (Spoiler: They kicked serious ass)

So now I get to count down to October.

My cousin's wedding went really well. It was a beautiful location, everyone looked nice and there were no horrible issues during the ceremony. We even saw deer! A whole family of deer and they came surprisingly close to us after the ceremony when we were already taking pictures. I'll post some when I get a little bit of time.

Which I've had almost none of lately. Yesterday was my first day off in 10 days and I spent most of the day asleep or doing errands that I didn't have time for while I was working. I've been neglecting RP and my flist just trying to keep myself sane and happy. I'm sorry to everyone, I haven't abandoned you, I'm just up to my eyeballs in real life.

In other news, I got a fish! He's a black and blue betta and I have named him Mr. Tickles. I am entirely certain that three hams will kill him. For more information on why this makes me as happy as a bag of wigs see: http://video.adultswim.com/the-brak-show/goldfish.html

And now I'm off, yet again, to work.

It's been a while since I updated. Probably because I haven't been doing anything all that interesting.

I did pack a really awesome box last night. I sent home my Square Enix limited edition preview book, the big Reborn puzzle I bought a while back along with the little Kingdom Hearts one I got the other day, about half of my Gundam models wrapped up in a couple of the shirts I intend to keep, the little pink bunny from Chobits that I actually got in America and somehow ended up in Japan with me and a few little stuffed Pokemon dolls. I felt like a very responsible adult sealing that up and shipping it home. |D My parents will be so confused when they open it. I think there might be some mameshiba in there as well.

Okay... So I've been slacking off on my writing hard core lately. And I miss it. But I don't tend to do it unless I have a deadline or some sort of reason. I also really like filling requests/challenges so here's my thought...

For every day in June, I will write something. All of it fiction, none shorter than 200 words. I will write original stuff, but I prefer to write from one of my many fandoms.

So what I need from you, the good reader, is a prompt or two or six. To make it interesting please give me ONLY 2 of the following things:

  • Theme

  • Line/phrase that must be included

  • Fandom

  • Character

  • Pairing

  • Kink

So that means if you want to see a character or characters from one fandom in the setting of another, I will write that. I will probably make at least 1/3 of them NSFW... and if you ask for that I will do my best (obviously anyone who picks a kink will tend toward that).

Major fandoms include:

Death Note, Hetalia (I do best with Eastern Europe), Reborn, Final Fantasy XII, Dark Tower, Bleach (although I'm not current on the manga) and Digimon 01/02

This is by no means the only stuff I will write, so poke me if there's something else you want. Chances are, if I know it, I will write it.

When I get enough, I will throw them randomly onto one of my 100 or so calenders (seriously, Japan, stop giving me calenders) and post a list of what I'm doing when so you guys can call me on it if I skip a day or a prompt.

Aaaaaand I have probably forgotten something... so watch for falling edits.

So I've started watching Supernatural... on top of Basquash and about 4 other things I keep up with regularly. I have a 650gig external hard drive and I recently had to clean out about 50gigs of that because I wanted new stuff and WAS OUT OF ROOM. But yeah, I can see why Supernatural has such a HUGE and INSANE fandom. So far the episodes are really predictable, like baseball bat to the head obvious, but yet I find myself wanting to watch the next one and the next one. Curse you interesting characters! I will ignore your plot holes and obvious lack of research, just keep being worthwhile.

I have apparently changed quite a bit since I've joined CFUD, and I'm not really that surprised. According to some of the people on my LJ flist who I see in real life from time to time, I've started using strange words they don't know (like flist XD) and generally being more upbeat and cheerful in my posts there. I think that's a good thing, but they worry that I'm hooked on crack. To that claim I must humbly say "LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALA". Shut up... I love my crack.

Which brings me to another point: I leave Japan in August. This is coming up faster than I realize and I need to start getting myself together to come home. It also means that I'm open to requests for anything people back home might want from the land of robots and crazy. I will be making a nerdly pilgrimage sometime before I leave Japan, and I'm more than happy to pick up little things for anyone who wants them. (some of you I already picked little things up for and need to get back to me with info *coughDEANcough*) The key is you have to let me know what to be on the look out for. SO LET ME KNOW!

There is a shop in my city... oh what a shop. A shop of wonders and joys... the SECOND HAND SHOP!

Seriously, I have found some amazing things at this place, including but not limited to:
  • kimonos
  • obi
  • my pint sized guitar
  • A full CLAMP chess set
  • My huge (and phallic) Squallo figure ♥
  • and...
  • ME AND MY KATAMARI!

The one game I was 100% sure I wanted for my new PSP. I looked at both of the huge second hand game stores in my city and out of hundreds of other games... no Katamari. I looked for about 2 seconds at Second Chance (aka the Second Hand Shop of Awesome) and I find it. For about half the price of games at the other store.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go play this game until my thumbs hurt.

So due to the happenings described here I am now in possession of a shiny new PSP... And realizing I have no idea how to get the most out of it. So that's where you kind people of the internet come in.

What games/themes/other cool stuff that I don't totally understand yet for PSP should I be looking for?

I play a little bit of everything (except sports games [football, baseball etc]) so any suggestions game wise are good.

That said... it would be nice to leave out ones that require a lot of reading and answering questions since I'm still in Japan, I can only get Japanese games at the moment and my Japanese isn't terrific. I'm getting through Dissidia okay, and I don't mind walkthroughs, but something like Gyakuten Kenji is a no go for me.

Thank you, Wonderful Internet People!!

Since I just added a WHOLE bunch of people...

HI! I'll be your Loquacious from now on. You may also know me as...

[profile] loquora on the LJ
Loquora at gmail as well
Near/Cuthbert/Hank/Fran for those of you from CFUD
Stephanie for those of you who know me outside of the internets
Loqui is the name I usually write under, and if any of you actually know me from back when I was all over Ragnarok, that was my primary name there too...

I think that covers it!

If I just added you, chances are I have very little idea who you are (I just added at least a dozen people and I have already lost track of who is who), so you're welcome to drop a comment here to remind me. Otherwise I will just be confused for a while until I get it all straight.

And it was me! You're all surprised, I can tell.

I ended up having to go way out of my way to go to the bank. Japan is a cash based society and for some reason the very conveniently placed bank decided to have it's ATMs closed all of Golden Week so people could easily access their money? Sometimes the logic here makes my brain hurt. Anyway, I managed to get cash, which I have needed for a while now, and ended up back at Book Market (I don't care if they changed all their signs, "Book @ Market" is a stupid name and makes no sense >( they are forever Book Market to me) where I finally asked to see the Dissidia PSP they had for sale. Turns out it's real real pretty so... I bought it!

I think the clerk was really surprised to see me actually want it after she went to a lot of trouble to unwrap the thing. I was 90% sure I was going to get it from the moment I saw it on sale but seeing it up close sealed the deal. I got it home in one piece despite being on the bike (me and my awesome transportation choices) and got it charging as soon as I got it unwrapped. I fiddled with it until I got at least the main stuff set in English and then after some poking managed to get Dissidia to start playing.

Which is all well and good until it tells me it needs a memory card. Of course. And none of the ones I have around either fit or have enough memory. I will have to go pick one up today on my rounds around the city, which isn't a big deal, but man what a let down after getting such a pretty new PSP.

In unrelated news, man I wish I had Photoshop because I have lots of nice images I want to make icons out of and I'm sick of trying to force the half assed program I do have to work. Curse you, program that doesn't work!
