Cross-posting for maximum coverage

So due to the happenings described here I am now in possession of a shiny new PSP... And realizing I have no idea how to get the most out of it. So that's where you kind people of the internet come in.

What games/themes/other cool stuff that I don't totally understand yet for PSP should I be looking for?

I play a little bit of everything (except sports games [football, baseball etc]) so any suggestions game wise are good.

That said... it would be nice to leave out ones that require a lot of reading and answering questions since I'm still in Japan, I can only get Japanese games at the moment and my Japanese isn't terrific. I'm getting through Dissidia okay, and I don't mind walkthroughs, but something like Gyakuten Kenji is a no go for me.

I have seriously considered buying a PSP just so I could play Patapon. And Loco Roco. But mostly Patapon.

I saw Loco Roco when I was poking around... but couldn't figure out exactly what it was about...

Is that icon from Denno Coil?

It's... about this blob. That is made up of other blobs. And you explore this world. That's... more or less it, as far as I can tell, but it looks like a lot of fun. Nooooiiiiiiiii!

Haha! I snagged both on the way home from work. Go used game store!

I saw a few episodes on TV when I first got here and it kinda freaked me out... mostly because I didn't know what was going on and from what I could tell there were all these freaky shadow people stealing children.

The two games on PSP I love the most are "Valkyrie Profile" and "Final Fantasy: Crisis Core."
